Immigration Removal Centres
Immigration Removal Centres (IRC) are used for the temporary detention of people, in situations where the people concerned have no legal right to be in the UK but have refused to leave voluntarily.
The centres at Brook House near Gatwick and Harmondsworth in West Drayton provide a high standard of facilities. These include libraries and formal education classes.
