The name Worrall has been synonymous with the lock making industry of Willenhall for seven generations. An entry in Piggotts Trades Directory of 1735 reads “John Worrall Olde Fashioned rim lock maker at The Crescent Lock Works, Willenhall, Staffordshire”.
Lloyd Worrall has been supplying the building industry with its architectural hardware requirements since 1946.
Established in 1946 and working from premises in Tebworth, Bedfordshire, Lloyd Worrall has grown to be one of the largest architectural ironmongers in the UK.
The first branch office opened in 1975 in Manchester. In the eighties, the Tebworth branch moved to Leighton Buzzard and later relocated to Milton Keynes.
Founded in 1911, Yannedis is the oldest established architectural ironmonger in Britain. It has grown to become one of the most respected AI’s in the industry, combining innovation with specialist bespoke design and boasts an order book that includes some of London’s most iconic buildings. In 2003 Yannedis was acquired by Lloyd Worrall and incorporated into our nationwide operation.
In 2008 the Lloyd Worrall business was acquired by Macnaughton Blair Ltd.
Lloyd Worrall is now the architectural division of Buildbase Limited and comprises five regional trading branches located in Manchester, Milton Keynes, Newcastle upon Tyne, Sheffield and London-based Yannedis, together with a solutions office in Willenhall.

Lloyd Worrall is a full member of the Guild of Architectural Ironmongers (GAI). We have a number of team members who hold the GAI Diploma, which provides our customers with peace of mind knowing that all specifications are being created and checked by professionals who are up-to-date with current European and British standards relating to the specification and use of architectural solutions.
Our qualified and experienced staff will guide and advise you for the duration of your project. The technical consultant assigned to you will remain your point of contact throughout the entire contract, attending site and meetings as required, until completion of the project and handover to your client.
