The Grade II listed Guild of Students building has been remodelled to create more student friendly spaces. The interior needed to be a combination of open spaces for socialising and private rooms for help and support.
The doorset package had to meet high durability and performance standards combined with the need for a high degree of resistance to physical abuse and severe frequency of usage but provide a warm welcome and be aesthetically pleasing.
Lloyd Worrall worked closely with the design team to provide high quality facilities by delivering a single source, coordinated supply of a fully integrated doorset package, complete with robust stainless steel ironmongery.
The use of vision panels has softened the robust nature of the door as well as allowing light into offices.
Lloyd Worrall supplied 194 high performance, severe duty, FSC certified timber laminate faced doorsets in a variety of fire door ratings, to meet the intensity of use doors face in a student environment.
All Interspec door options are DD171 severe duty rated as standard. This ensures our doorsets withstand the test of these rigorous environments.
