Lloyd Worrall’s Handrail and Balustrade (H&B) team has delivered a bright, airy and safe environment to a benchmark residential project in St Helens.
Crab Street Apartments contain 61 modern affordable apartments for those aged 55 plus. A mix of 1 and 2 bedroom apartments, the scheme has been designed to offer over 55s a modern, manageable, more streamlined home.
The scheme offers a standard of quality of new housing that is the benchmark for future developments, and this is reflected in the handrail and balustrade package.
Our H&B team, specified, supplied and installed 120m of 10mm toughened glass and Interspec stainless steel balustrade to the stairways. This has created a clean and stylish look while meeting the stringent safety standards to achieve 1.5kN loading.
For the 44 Juliette balconies, we specified, supplied and installed a grey-tinted laminated glass to achieve a minimalist design and create a bright and airy home, allowing light and fresh air in without compromising safety in the apartments.
